4th of July Parade
Make certain you're good with the conditions below!
- Bands are responsible for their own flatbed truck (stake-beds work the best). OPA will reimburse that expense up to $150 (must include an invoice)
- Bands should play lively music to entertain the spectators sitting along the curbside. Objective here is to get people standing and dancing!
- The parade starts at 9:30 am at the NEW location of the South Beach Lot …but everyone is required to be there prior to 7 am for vehicle inspection by SMPD.
- The parade route is approx one mile long, and NEW for 2022 heads from the South Beach Lot, up Marine to Main Street, headed North until ending at Pico Blvd. It takes approx one hour.
- Each musician will get paid $50 for this gig.
- They will have to supply their own PA system if needed. Generators will be needed as well.
- This is a festive holiday and we encourage you to dress in your best red, white, and blue apparel!

Every year people come down to Main Street on the 4th of July to celebrate our city, our country, and our community. That wouldn't be possible without the wonderful bands that come down to play along the parade route. To apply to play in the parade, please fill out the form below:
